Balearic Islands

The four Balearic Islands; Mallorca, Ibiza, Formentera and Menorca, are the real pearls of the Mediterranean sea, oozing in natural beauty with sparkling turquoise waters, idyllic coves and dramatically scenic mountains. Long days of sunshine and the wealth of recreational activities available complement the natural beauty to make the Balearic Islands an ideal destination for a business event or incentive trip.

The islands are distinctly different to mainland Spain and have a much more laid back atmosphere, and whilst all islands have beautiful beaches and stunning scenery each island has its own flavor and appeal. Mallorca, the biggest of the islands is the home of the Tramatuna mountains, a beautiful setting for hiking, climbing and cycling . Mallorca’s capital city, Palma is the largest of the Balearic cities and has an impressive gothic cathedral and palm lined boulevards with great shopping. Ibiza is a sophisticated island with luxurious harbours and a thriving international club scene that contrasts magically with its traditional Spanish architecture and rural and lush inland countryside. Menorca is more low key then its bigger neighbours and has some beautiful undeveloped coastlines, quaint ports and prehistoric ruins as well as more beaches than Mallorca and Ibiza put together. Formentora, the smallest of the islands, measuring just 20km from east to west offers some of the best beaches in the whole of the Mediterranean, as well as charming white washed villages and a delightfully rugged terrain.

All of the Balearic islands are a paradise for water based activities and sailing regattas, boat cruises, jet skiing and scuba diving are amongst some of the many activities that are ideal for soaking up the beautiful coastlines of these Mediterranean islands. On land you can take a round of golf on one of the numerous scenic courses, or soak up the flavours of the sea in a paella workshop. Once the activities are over, reserve a private beach restaurant and sip on a cocktail watching the sunset before sampling some Balearic cuisine.

The Balearic Islands are in a prime location, with flights from most major European cities taking around 2 hours. All of the islands are relatively small which enable transport either by land or sea around the different spots very convenient and manageable.

Natural beauty with every imaginable modern facility and a lovely climate, be seduced by the Balearic Islands on a business or incentive trip to remember.

Ibiza town offers also very many enticing sightseeing opportunities to be enjoyed on foot taking in the squares with terraces and bars and cafes , local shops and the seaside promenade along the harbor.

We suggest that you take the taxi boat from Ibiza town to Marina Botafoch, home to luxury cruisers of the rich and famous, and high end bars, restaurants and clubs like Cappuccino, Blue Marlin, Lio and Pacha. Stroll around the quays and enjoy the stunning views of the sunset whilst sipping a well deserved gin-and-tonic.

If you are in a ‘beach mood’ and want to remain South of the Island, we suggest that you have a look at Playa d’en Bossa’s famous beach, the longest stretch of sand of the island offering water sports, beach facilities and trendy bars; Las Salinas beach, most popular for celebrities and Sa Trinxa with its cool beach restaurant. From the megalithic art to the once-flourishing urban Gothic, from the traces of Italian neoclassicism in mansions and stately houses to the captivating modernism with organic architectural forms, Mallorca is a showcase of all the civilizations that once conquered the Mediterranean Sea.

The city tour of Palma will show you the Bellver castle and the most important historical sites of the city such as the Cathedral, the Palace of Alluding, the Arabic baths, the fish market, la Lonja and Consulado de Mar, the Parliament, the Town Hall and the Plaza Mayor – Palma’s main square. We include a nice trip by train to Puerto de Soller (in operation since 1912), the town of Deia, and a  visit to the famous Cartuja and the old pharmacy in Valldemossa. Discover the most traditional Majorca: from the typical fishing port of Andratx to a typical Majorcan “granja” that nowadays houses a museum of the Majorcan tradition and craft workshops.

Admire the beautiful landscape from Formentora, where the viewpoint of “Es Colomer” stands out in an impressive way; take a boat and travel along the coast to Puerto de Pollença, get to Alcudia and stop at Binissalem: a beautiful inner village known for its wine. Here we will visit a famous winery and taste the wines and products of Mallorca.

A tour for nature lovers: Take a boat to Cabrera, visit the Castle (which dates from 1410) and the Monument to the French prisoners, have lunch at the beach, and visit the famous cave “Cova Blava”. This 40 metres deep cave is a real wonder of nature.
