Valencia
Valencia, Spain’s third largest city and the birthplace of the world famous Paella is a city full of surprises; an urban gem of palm fringed beaches, orange blossoms and incredible landmarks.
The completion of the awe inspiring and somewhat space age City of Arts and Sciences in 1998 has contributed to the continued expansion of this exciting city where new designs are constantly pushing architectural boundaries. Set amongst the new developments of the city are monuments from all generations of Valencia’s past, including Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque. Incorporating all of these eras is the beautiful Cathedral, Valencia’s key religious landmark, which houses a chapel with a claim to being the holy grail. Venture down to the seafront and you will be greeted by long stretches of sandy beaches and the stylishly regenerated port area, which has recently hosted the Formula 1 Grand Prix. The fine restaurants in Valencia take advantage of the cities seafront location and there are many beautiful fish dishes on the menus as well as the local speciality, rice. The cities young population fuel the happening and vibrant nightlife scene where the partying goes on all through the night and finishes with breakfast in a chillout bar the following morning.
For team building and leisure activities, a paella cooking class will capture imagination and tantalise tastebuds. Alternatively, for something more active this coastal city is a haven for watersports and boat trips with some of the best marinas in Europe. Back on land there are opportunities to race through the lush forests of the Valencian countryside quad biking or build up some friendly competition go karting. If you are planning a summer trip then the Tomatina festival held on the last Wednesday in August every year in the nearby town of Bunol is the biggest food fight in the world and will provide a unique cultural experience.
Valencia is a city where tradition combines with modern day life and the massive investments in the infrastructure and new facilities make it an ideal destination for all ranges of events and trips.

Bike Tour
The best and most comprehensive way of seeing the city.
Participants will first cycle through the beautifully landscaped gardens, the work of landscape architects laid out on the former Turia riverbed and then pass under the historic bridges.
They will then cycle through the Old Quarter and visit Plaza de la Virgen, the exterior of the Cathedral, the Plaza de la Almoina, the exterior of Palacio del Marques de Dos Aguas and so on to Plaza del Patriarca and to the gardens known as La Glorieta with its giant specimens of ficus trees, centuries old.
The cyclists then head back into the Turia riverbed gardens and see the Palau de la Musica, the Gulliver children’s park and the various buildings that make up the futuristic complex known as City of Arts & Sciences.
This visit can start at the bike shop or at your hotel (in which case the bicycles are transported to the hotel address). If another departure point is chosen, the route is adjusted accordingly.
